Very hearty, fast, great winter meal, can be served with or without beans and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground chuck
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tsp salt,
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 quart (16oz) can undrained tomatoes, can be pureed before adding
  • 1 16 oz can dark red kidney beans, undrained

Instructions

  1. Brown beef, pepper, onion, and garlic, stir in 1-1/2 tsp salt and the pepper and 1 Tbsp chili powder. Do not drain. Add tomatoes and rest of chili powder to meat and stir. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, let simmer uncoverd 2 hours.
  2. Add kidney beans, and cook 30 minutes to and 1 hour.

Additional information

Garnish with sour cream, cheddar, or parmesan cheese. Substitute ground turkey for a healthier choice. Remove beans to make this Keto friendly.
